I
was born in Chicago, Illinois in November of 1958. That
makes me a Scorpio: a lover of all things hidden, and passionate
about life.
Like most children, I had spiritual
experiences that society taught me to disregard by the
time I was an adult. My parents were not inspired to teach
me any particular dogmatic beliefs, but answered my questions
objectively when I asked about religion.
I went on with my adult life,
as most people do, experiencing the human spectrums of
love and heartbreak; career success and failure; abundant
life and emotional loss; riches and poverty; family joy
and household strife, all the while making the usual mistakes
and gaining new insights along the way.
However, the spiritual world was
not about to let me forget that we are spiritual beings
having a human experience. Throughout my adult life, I've
had what I like to call "taps on the shoulder" that I would later understand to be calls to fully examine the nature of the
world we live in, and the nature of human potential.
I went on a quest to investigate
the cause of these rather unusual experiences. I had a
burning desire to find out if it was just my brain playing
tricks on me, or if I really was experiencing metaphysical
communication from "beyond the veil."
I searched out the believers and
the skeptics, and considered each point of view. I weighed
all the facts that could be known, against my own experiences,
and how those experiences affected the quality of my life.
The conclusions I came to were
clear to me: We are more than our physical bodies. Our
authentic selves extend beyond our skin. Energy does not
die, and neither do we, nor does love for that matter.
Guidance is available from a loving, benevolent source,
that helps us reach our full human potential -- physically,
intellectually and spiritually. The source is known by
many names: God, Goddess, Christ, Allah, Buddha, Grandfather
Sky, or simply All That Is. All that source asks in return,
is our honest commitment and dedication to doing the best
we can.
Once I was fairly sure that there
was a higher intelligence available to aid us, I sent out
a prayer that basically said, "I know people ask you for things both tangible and non-tangible. You must be
swamped with work. I'm going to be different. I'm not going
to ask you to do something for me, I'm going to ask you
to give me some of your work to do."
To
make a long story short, things started happening for me.
I met people who had abundant spiritual wisdom and knowledge
to offer. Opportunities opened up for me, where none had
been before. I found myself helping other people, with
the knowledge I already had, but didn't realize was valuable
to others. After a long and winding path, that prayer has
led me here. When I do a consultation with you, I ask God
to protect you and I, and provide us with energies that
will only lead to our highest good. I ask my guides, guardians,
angels and other side energies to connect with yours. I
ask for help in becoming an empty vessel, and to help me
subdue my own ego, so that only spiritual information will
flow through me, and not from me. Frequently after doing
a reading, I cannot remember any parts of it, because apparently,
it does not come from "me."
As a life-long student of Energy, I am certified as a Reiki I Practitioner
in the Usui
Shiki Ryoho Reiki method. I have studied various metaphysical, mystical and spiritual wisdom traditions
for 26 years. I also have more than 25 years experience in the Corporate world,
with specialized training in Leadership Methods, Team Building, Total Quality
Management, Conflict Resolution, and Interpersonal Communication Skills. I
am the founder and leader of the Central Illinois Metaphysics and Psychic Development Group. In 2000, I founded FriendsCommunities.org, a free online metaphysical community which has been featured on a television
show that was syndicated world-wide and in print in several publications, and
currently has over 12,000 members.
I currently reside in Illinois with my husband and our
incredible son who is 6 years old, and who is a teacher
in his own right. In addition to my passion for metaphysics
and spirituality, and helping others find their own path
to discovering their spirit, I also love to travel, learn,
read, write, teach, dable in video editing and play with
my family.
